DirectEmployers Association is a nonprofit HR consortium of leading global employers formed to improve labor market efficiency through the sharing of best practices, research and the development of technology. In accordance with its Corporate By-Laws, the business and affairs of the Association are managed by a Board of Directors consisting of member company representatives. Daily operations are managed by an Executive Director and operations staff at the direction of the President and Board of Directors. Officers are elected and goals and objectives are determined by member employers at DirectEmployers Associations annual meeting scheduled in the fourth quarter of each year.

Job Description


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - Other duties may be assigned

  • Ensures all issues and projects are addressed appropriately and efficiently

  • Provides process/product support to organization to address production concerns

  • Performs preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, equipment improvements, equipment upgrades, and equipment installations on the factory equipment in assigned areas

  • Troubleshoots, plans and performs all mechanical operations necessary to modify, dismantle, repair, overhaul and rebuild all types of machine tools, plant machinery and equipment

  • Sets up and operates all types of machine tools such as mill, lathe, grinders, drill presses and other machine shop tools to duplicate, make or rework parts

  • Assists with tooling set-up/changeovers

  • Maintains 5S environment in work area and Tool Shop

  • Follows lock out tag out procedures and all other safety rules where required

  • Proactively participates in Kaizen events and creating a continuous improvement culture

  • Qualifications


  • Minimum of a High School Diploma

  • Advanced certification level training or associates degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience supporting machine maintenance/repair in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills

  • Able to wire and program new/automatic equipment

  • General skills and expertise related to maintenance activities

  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite

  • Great mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems

  • Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
